 Ask Fr. Chuck...

 Sunday, November 30...

Join Fr. Chuck from 10:15 to 10:45am in Room 224.  This is a great opportunity to tap into the "inside" information.  You have a question -- Fr. Chuck has an answer.  You can come even if you don't have a question!  Hope to see you there.

BIBLE STUDY

Thursdays: 7:00—8:30 PM in Room 107
Our Bible Study this year will consist of three major sections. While you are encouraged to attend all sessions, the three sections can stand alone, so if you can attend only one or two parts, you can profit from the experience.

Section 2 — The Book of Jonah
(October 30):
Really the Word of God?
Only a big fish story?
What about the worm?
Complaining about the way God works
The great Message of Jonah

Section 3 — The Dead Sea Scrolls (November 6):
What are the Dead Sea Scrolls?
What are they all about?
Why don’t we hear more about them?
Why are they important?
What can we learn from them?

Join us and bring a friend. Cost: item(s) for the
Food Shelf.

Christian Initiation of Adults - Journey in Faith

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which adults are welcomed into the Catholic Church.  This includes unbaptized adults, adults baptized in another Christian denomination, and theose baptized in the Catholic Church who have not celebrated Confirmation or First Eucharist.

From the end of October through April, inquirers meet weekly for faith formation and instruction in the Catholic tradition.  Throughout the process, the inquirers discern their readiness for he Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist).  These sacraments are celebrated at the Easter Vigil.

Significant Dates for the 2008-2009 season

Wednesday, October 1 First Weekly Gatherin (meets Wednesday at 7:00 PM)
Wednesday, April 22 will be the final session

The Labyrinth

The labyrinth is an ancient symbol representing wholeness that is over 3,500 years old.  When this symbol is transferred to the ground and walked with purpose, we are discovering a long forgotten mystical tradition.  Walking the labyrinth has re-emerged today as a metaphor for the spiritual journey and a powerful tool for transformation.  Watch the bulletin for the labyrinth events.
